It's going to be a crazy day...

I don't want to sound like a fortune-teller. But I think 05/10/2009 will be a crazy race day.

Have you seen the BOTAK PAA-TIBAYAN map? Specifically the routes for the 21k and 42k? Those are craaaaaaazzzzzyyyyyyy routes, man.

I hope that the race organizer has done their assignments real well. Marshalls should be well oriented. Water stops should be adequate & well manned. Medical facilities should be in place. Traffic should be, well... dealt with accordingly. Some people do work on a sunday. :)

And how about the weather? I don't know if "EMONG" has left the P.I., but this past weeks weather was craaaazzzzzyyyy. And according to CNN weather, it's going to rain tomorrow. Weeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!


And last... I read from more than a couple of running groups that they'll go renegade on this race. And they are inviting people to join them. Craaaaaazzzzzzzzyyyy....

What I fear here is the cut-off time for the 42k runners. I don't know if there was a discussion about it. Because in the Condura Run, this was cleared at least a week before the race. I think I see a lot of complaints after this race though. =(

Will I run tomorrow even if it rains? It's a YES!

Will I run on the said routes? Maybe... :)

Will I go bandit? Hmmnnnn......

I ran an easy 5K earlier tonight at the MOA loop. Trying to shake off the pain from my right knee. I sprint on every second block of the MOA area and I think I did good. The pain in my knee is gone. I'll wait until tomorrow if the pain will really be gone.

I have to push myself running in pain, because i'll be running my second 21k for the year. adik?

As I just planned to run one 21K for the year and that was for the Condura Run.

Last week, I talked to Grace (an officemate, hi grace!) if they'll be running on Greenfields. She said yes, and they'll be running for free. FREE!!! since one of our brands is a sponsor. At syempre, dahil adik nga... I asked if there's a free slot left where I can join. She asked the people in the know and got back to me. She said one of the runners (officemate din) might not join the race. And will be passing the singlet & bib to me!!!

YEHEY!!! FREE!!! HINDI BANDIT!!!

Grace told me that it will just be for the 5K race. And I told her that it's okay for me to run 5K. I'll just run some more if bitin pa. yabang noh?

Then earlier today in the office. Grace called me up and said that a slot for me was approved and I was listed to run in the 21k. ayot!!!

21k?!?!

My veggies. I know I can run and finish this. But my plan is to run just a single 21K for the year...

I've never thought that such word is used in running. I thought that it's okay to run the race route with official runners even though you did not register.

I still think it is okay, but only for the following reasons:

1. If the race is not a trail. Meaning, it is spacious for a large number of runners.
2. If the race is done where anybody can run/jog/walk. (you're normal.)
3. You don't position yourself at the starting line ahead of everybody else. (on second thought...)
4. You don't run like crazy when the gun is fired. (pulis!!!)
5. You don't stop at water stations to get a free drink, power bar or anything that they give. (pulis!!!!)
6. You don't get strings (faster officer!!!!)
7. You don't run crazy towards the finish line and overtake official runners because you have a PR to beat. (darn it... guard!!!!!!!)
8. You don't fall in line to get the medal, the certificate, the freebies. (ay naketch... ako na nga!!!!!)

I haven't done it, to run as a bandit that is. Ano kaya ang feeling? Hmmmnnn...
