RUN UNITED RACE EXPO

As a testament to the level of commitment that ActiveHealth brings to the runners, it has brought in the Team Bike Boutique, the official merchandise partner of Ironman races worldwide, to organize the Run United Race Expo happening on June 13-16, 2012 at the BGC Grounds near Mercato.

The race expo completes the active health experience by gathering runners, sports enthusiasts and their families in this four-day event. Runners can hang out with their friends while checking out the coolest and latest sports apparel. Fitness and athletic brands also present their latest products and services, including gadgets, running gear, among others.

Coach Rio dela Cruz said the race expo brings Run United to a whole new level. “Major international marathons like the ING New York Marathon and Chicago Marathon hold their own expos days before the event. Together with UNILAB Active Health, we look at some of the best practices from international races, and apply them to the Run United Series to further enhance the race experience of the Filipino running community.”

REMINDERS

• Race Kits may run out before June 3, 2012, therefore registration may end earlier than announced deadline.
• A Valid ID must be presented upon registration. For group registration, a photocopy of any valid ID & picture must be presented by the representative.
• Singlet size availability will be on a first come first serve basis.
• A timing device will be used by all participants during the race.
• For in-store registrants, keep your registration receipts. You need to present it to claim your Race Kits at the Expo. For online registrants, kindly print and present your confirmation e-mail to claim your Race Kits at the Expo.

SHUTTLE SERVICE

• RunRio/Unilab Active Health will be providing a SHUTTLE SERVICE for 21km participants. The service will have the SM Mall of Asia as its pick-up point and will bring the 21km runners to the 21km starting line at the BGC.
• Why SM Mall of Asia as pick-up point? The race owners and organizers considers those 21km runners who may have other members of the family who will be running a shorter distance so SM Mall of Asia is a more feasible originating point. Besides, there are more available parking areas there than in BGC.
• More details and mechanics for the Shuttle Service will be posted once available.

BAGGAGE AREA/SERVICE
Baggage Services will be available at the BGC race area in the form of ROVING BAGGAGE SERVICE VANS which will be on standby prior to race start and will move to the SM Mall of Asia to bring these checked-in baggages to the designated Baggage Claim Areas.

Run United 3 In-Store Registration (MOVED)

Got an e-mail from RunRio team that the In-Store Registration will be moved from October 3, 2011 to October 7, 2011.

Online registration will still open on October 3, 2011.

Dear Runners,

Due to the unfavorable conditions that the recent Typhoon Pedring brought to the country, the scheduled delivery and receipt of the official RunRio Trilogy Leg 3: Run United 3 2011 singlets were not met. Due to this delay, RunRio decided to move the In-Store Registration to October 7, Friday to ensure that runners will be able to bring with them a complete race kit upon registration.

Online Registration on the other hand, will still open as scheduled on Monday, October 3, 2011.

RUN UNITED 3 - RunRio Trilogy 2011 Leg 3

UniLab, together with RunRio presents...


This will be the 3rd and last leg of the RunRio Trilogy, and will feature a 500m (for kids), 3K, 5K, 10K, 15K, 21K and the 32K AFROMAN distance.

This will also be the first time that Run United will be held at the MOA grounds. If you ask me, I prefer MOA grounds for races. Easily accessible venue, bigger parking area, cheaper parking fee (flat rate of Php30 uncovered and Php45 covered), and safer too. At hindi tayo nakaka-istorbo sa mga natutulog pa ng mga 4AM. =)

I guess this was the approved singlet. May TAMBSAP! sign eh. hehehehe

I like the design of 'Study B'. Sana ito ang maging finisher's shirt. =)
