dear santa,
if it's not too much to ask, i would love to own a new pair of ASICS GEL-KINSEI 3 this Christmas. you see, i've been using my NB 825 and ASICS 2130 alternately this year. and i'm planning to let go of my NB 825's as it has given me more pains than mileage.
please... please... please...

What's in the box??? (The Opening)
The "box" arrived last friday, 11.27.2009.
Excited and nervous at the same time. I think I heard the angels sing when I opened the box.
I already used it last Saturday, 11.28.2009 and at the NB race last 11.29.2009. And boy do I like it!!!
A running buddy (RuBu) saw the new toy...
RuBu: I thought, TIMEX was a sister company?
Rod : Yup... eh may mabait na nag-abot ng GARMIN eh. Hindi ko tinanggihan. =D
Wait... parang may laman pa yun box... hmnnn....

Your Garmin just died... Now what?!?
Bummer... I've been searching the net for authorized service centers here in Manila. No such luck... =(But for the MacGyver in us, there's always hope.
And I found a site on how to dismantle a Garmin. Eeekkk!!!
And hopefully help in knowing its components. =)
Here's the link:
Dismantle the Garmin Forerunner 205
I've never tried it as I have no Garmin to dismantle.
So... use at your own risk!!!
Do take note that the battery is soldered. If you plan to replace the battery, it needs to be de-soldered first.
Btw... MacGyver just called. He said, If you happen to own a messed up Garmin, give him a holler. I think he has some hope for you.
Laters!!!

Targeting 1000Kms for 2009
See the ticker above? I only need 218.2Kms to reach 1000Km for 2009.
If only I logged all the runs that I did, I know I have reached 1000Kms already.
But.. what the heck. What's 200+Kms more.
I plan to accomplish my 1000K on Sir Jovie's RIZAL DAY RUN on Dec 30.
I'm doing this post to remind me of the distances I have to run and days when I will run.
| 20K | 21-Nov | SAT (Pojie's bday Run?) |
| 10K | 22-Nov | SUN |
| 10K | 24-Nov | TUE |
| 10K | 26-Nov | THU |
| 10K | 28-Nov | SAT |
| 3K | 30-Nov | MON (McDonalds Run) |
| 5K | 2-Dec | WED |
| 5K | 4-Dec | FRI |
| 56K | 6-Dec | SUN (Km0 to Km56) |
| 5K | 9-Dec | WED |
| 5K | 11-Dec | FRI |
| 5K | 13-Dec | SUN |
| 5K | 15-Dec | TUE |
| 5K | 17-Dec | THU |
| 20K | 20-Dec | SUN |
| 5K | 22-Dec | TUE |
| 5K | 24-Dec | THU |
| 5K | 27-Dec | SUN |

Not really your typical running / training schedule. But I think that will do...
Good luck sa akin...
